Drake is currently riding high on a win streak that took him from mixtape rapper to pop star. And while the former child actor has had no problems upping his street cred with guest spots on songs from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and DJ Khaled, he wants to be a legend and it seems like he is keeping the right company.
At last year’s OVO fest, Drake surprised everyone by bringing out the legendary Stevie Wonder on stage and busting out a freestyle rap over “My Cherie Amour.” Not only have they appeared on stage together, but the two are collaborators with Stevie playing harmonica on Drake’s latest album Take Care.
So, yeah, cool, you get to perform with Stevie, you get to record with Stevie, but what really ups Drakes ‘legendary’ game, is the fact that he brought Mr. Wonder to a Lil Wayne after party that he describes as ‘the most hood party ever.’
