Farewell Jesse Giddings!

Posted on August 21st, 2012

It’s time to say goodbye to one of our most handsome VJ’s, Jesse Giddings. After three awesome years here at Much, Jesse’s moving on to focus on his music career. But don’t worry! There will still be lots of Jesse to go around because he’s dropping his first music video next week off his new album! Jesse’s really made a mark here at MuchMusic and New.Music.Live., from interviewing huge artists like Slash and Katy Perry, to supporting important charities like Free The Children, to always making us laugh everyday on NML. We’ll miss you Jesse!

Tune in next Tuesday to a very special episode of NML where we say goodbye to Jesse Giddings in style.

Here’s a message from Jesse:

So it’s time to finally make the announcement. After thinking about it for a while, it seems the time has come for me to say goodbye to being a VJ at MuchMusic. The last three years have been the craziest, most amazing time of my life. The people I’ve met, places I’ve gone, concerts I’ve seen and of course all the interviews I’ve been able to do have been the most amazing experience ever. I’m so grateful for everyone I’ve met. From The 2010 Olympics, Juno’s, multiple MMVA’s, Trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic and everyplace in-between I’ve had the time of my life. Before I worked at MuchMusic I was touring as a musician, and for the last year have been working on recording a solo album that is almost ready. I’ve decided the time is right for me to move on and pursue other things, face new challenges and overcome new obstacles. I will be going on tour with Marianas Trench and Down With Webster this fall and spending a lot more time working on music. MuchMusic will be debuting my first music video next week. I have learned more in the last three years than my entire life combined. Thank you for being a part of my journey, and I hope it doesn’t end here. I’m grateful for everyone of you and the impact you’ve had on my life.

Love, Jesse
