Jay Sean Makes It Rain In Surrey

Hey it is Christina, New.Music.Live’s special concert correspondent. The rain didn’t stop thousands of fans from showing up to see Jay Sean perform live in BC at Surrey’s annual Fusion Festival on last Sunday. It’s not every day that a huge international artist graces the stage at Holland Park, and he shared his high energy and charming presence with the hyped up crowd. Check out my review after the jump.

Jay Sean is a pop/R&B artist originally from the UK, but has become a smash hit in North America.

Stage Presence: B+
He was still able to wow the crowd and keep them jumping around all night, despite his late appearance on stage.

Stage Banter: A
From humble chatting, to bringing a girl on stage, he definitely knows how to appeal to his audience. And not to mention his amazing British accent…who can resist?

Actual Talent: A
He had no trouble proving that he is a natural when it comes to performing, especially by showcasing his diverse range of vocals and upbeat attitude.

Audience Response: A+
Jay Sean brought out an amazingly huge crowd and they absolutely went wild for his performance. Fans brought out the signs, t-shirts, and face paint!

Potential Superstardom: A
He’s already worked with big names such as Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down his quickly increasing list of chart toppers.

Overall Grade: A

Extra Credit: He even went back to his roots and performed in Punjabi, showcasing his cultural pride.
