Liz Picks: How To Dress Well, Bon Iver & Hook N Sling

Posted on September 4th, 2012

Here are the 3 songs you MUST listen to this week… according to me, Liz!

How to Dress Well “Ocean Floor For Everything”
The artist behind the name How to Dress Well is producer/singer Tom Krell, from Brooklyn, NY. If you are into R&B, ambient, beautiful melodic tunes, check him out. His new LP, Total Loss, will drop on September 18th and it will probably be in your best interest to listen to it and then purchase it.

Bon Iver “Towers (Jonathan Lee Remix)”
If the sound of Justin Vernon’s voice doesn’t make your heart melt, than I don’t know what will. Producer Jonathan Lee added a bit of an upbeat twist to his song “Towers” and it is perfect listening for riding your bike through the city, sitting at your desk sipping coffee or rainy day mellow out.

Hook N Sling f. Nervo “Reason (Original)”
Whether you know the name Nervo or not, I’m sure you know many of the songs they are responsible for. Sisters Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo are an Austrailian duo best known for their writing skills and fun DJ sets. They have written songs for Ke$ha, Nicole Scherzinger, David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland (When Love Takes Over) and many more. They joined forces with up and coming Austrailian DJ/Producer Hook N Sling on the song “Reason” and I couldn’t be more obsessed. I still don’t understand why these girls aren’t bigger than they are.
