We had a full house today on New.Music.Live. and the crowd went absolutely wild for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

At the top of the show, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis chatted with Lauren all about their album, The Heist and their current tour, which they said is always a party. Lauren asked Macklemore aka Ben Haggerty about their song “Same Love,” which is about same-sex marriage equality. Ben said that he was worried about peoples’ reaction to the song but he felt it was time to discuss homosexuality in a positive light in the hip-hop community. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hit the stage to perform “Thrift Shop” and they got the audience dancing, including the entire cast of Degrassi! We can’t wait for the guys to come back to New.Music.Live!
