Dallas sent a song out to me saying, "this one's for Phoebe even though she hates it" I cried for a week in happiness...or City and Colour in Calgary when Gord Downie came out...or City and Colour at the Molson Amphitheatre...okay, I've seen City and Colour around 12 times."

Phoebe's Background:

Growing up on a small farm in Balmoral, Manitoba with no access to television, Phoebe Dykstra would go all the way to her cousins' house just to watch her favourite channel, MuchMusic. After seeing former VJs interviewing the biggest artists and introducing the latest music videos, Phoebe knew that becoming a Much VJ was her destiny.

After deciding to make the move to Toronto, Phoebe went into the music and concert scene, working on merch teams for bands like Stereos, The Midway State, and The Envy. After hearing about a casting call for Much, she sent out her demo tape to producers and literally waited by the phone for hours on end. Finally, she got the call and is now doing her dream job, delivering the latest in new music to Much fans.

Phoebe's love of music stretches far across the board from "pop, rap, punk, screamo and back to pop again." Needless to say, this tell-it-like-it-is, tattooed, vegetarian is pumped about her new gig on NEW.MUSIC.LIVE.
