Prince of Our Playlist: Robert DeLong

Ahh, we’ve hit Wednesday a.k.a. hump day and what better way to get through the middle of the week than hearing a fresh new band with fresh new music? That’s right, nothing.

This week, the Prince of Our Playlist is Robert DeLong.

We have been playing Robert’s song “Global Concepts” for a while now, but we thought it was time for you to hear some of his other work. We think that Robert is going to be HUGE this year. He recently released his album, Just Movement and it includes some awesome upbeat dance songs that Robert himself wrote, performed, mixed and produced.

Robert grew up in Seattle then headed down to LA with a dream and he was signed by Glassnote Records. Little fact, Glassnote has also signed artists such as Childish Gambino, Mumford & Sons, Phoenix and Two Door Cinema Club.

From March 12-17, Robert will head out on the road and play SXSW in Austin, Texas. In April, he’s hitting the stage at Coachella on the 14 and 21. Unfortunately, he’s not coming to Canada anytime soon, but when he does, you’ll be seeing us there.
