Perez Hilton has lost Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and probably thousands of others as followers on Twitter. A devastating blow to his ego, no doubt. The mass exodus occurred when he posted a video of One Direction’s Zayn Malik asking a girl to come back to his room… and she wasn’t his girlfriend. And so, because of the grief, Zayn quit Twitter, stating “I’m sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter…” Losing his BFF Gaga, whose friendship he clings on to like a little sad puppy, must be devastating for Perez, but the gossip blogger seemed to find the negative publicity a victory in the end. Still, no one seemed to triumph more than karma.
Speaking of One Direction, they have a new single coming out tonight! Actually, wait. You can pre-order it tonight on iTunes. You’ll have to wait until October 1st to hear “Live While We’re Young.” They really need to rethink the phrase “MASSIVE news” because this is more like, “good-sized news.”
Lil Wayne is now admitting to phoning in a verse on a new 2 Chainz song. He didn’t stop there though. He kept going, saying he also phoned in his last three albums, as well as at least 12 mixtapes.
Instead of releasing her new album, Nelly Furtado’s decided to just play a teenager on 90210 like all the other mid-thirtysomethings.
Superman and Wonder Woman are an item. Cool. Seminal late ’90s film Mallrats once examined why the Man of Steel needs the right kind of woman in his life, so we’re very happy for him.
And a happy birthday to Julian Casablancas of The Strokes. He’s not quite as cool as he was ten years ago, but we still wish him well.
